These Terms govern use of PutBoard, a community-information software service provided by PutBoard (“PutBoard”, “we”, “us”). By creating an Account, accepting an invitation, or using paid PutBoard services, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
PutBoard provides hosted public Boards for current notices, stable information, Events and trusted Directory resources. It is an information-publishing service, not an emergency service, social network, payment marketplace or authoritative government record.
2. Accounts and responsibility
You must provide accurate information, protect your login credentials, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorised access. Each Account has a Primary Owner responsible for ownership decisions. Fixed Owner and Manager roles determine access.
3. Customer content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant PutBoard a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, process and display that content only as necessary to operate, secure and improve the service. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and permissions associated with your content.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use PutBoard to break the law; infringe rights; distribute malware; facilitate fraud; harass or threaten people; publish unlawfully obtained personal information; bypass security; overload the service; or sell prohibited goods or services. We may restrict content or access where reasonably necessary to protect people, the service or comply with law.
5. Public information
Most Boards are public by design. Do not publish confidential or sensitive information on a public Board. Passcode protection reduces casual public access but should not be treated as a substitute for a specialised high-security system.
6. Plans, trials and billing
Features depend on the selected Board plan. Trials may end or return a Board to Free without deleting preserved content. When sales open, paid plans will renew monthly or annually, as selected, until cancelled. Prices, billing period, taxes and renewal details will be shown before purchase. Paddle will act as Merchant of Record and may apply its buyer terms in addition to these Terms.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current paid period unless applicable law requires otherwise. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, Paddle’s applicable buyer terms, and mandatory consumer law.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change features where reasonably necessary, while following PutBoard’s stated preservation rules for plan downgrades. We will give appropriate notice of material changes where practicable or legally required.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated breach, security risk, fraud, unlawful use or non-payment. Customers may use the available deletion controls subject to recovery periods and lawful retention requirements.
10. Intellectual property
PutBoard’s software, branding and product design are owned by or licensed to PutBoard. These Terms do not transfer ownership. You may not copy, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the service except where law expressly permits.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, PutBoard is provided on an “as available” basis. We are not responsible for customer content or decisions made using it. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that rule, our aggregate liability relating to paid service in the preceding 12 months will not exceed the fees paid for the affected Board during that period.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without limiting mandatory rights that apply where you live.
